would featuring top collections for the week be interesting to anyone here?
I’ve been thinking about including it above the fold to keep readers of BivNFT even *more* in the know.
if you have any suggestions for the newsletter, btw, I’m always open to feedback. you can simply reply to this email or send one to biv@bivnft.com

otherside trip #2 is set ✈️
it’s been a minute, but are you ready to return to the Otherside?
the official Otherside Twitter account revealed that the *second* trip will happen on March 25.
the first trip was largely a success…but now it’s time to see what has been building for the last *checks calendar* 10 months.
in that time, Yuga launched their Dookey Dash game and teased some of the Otherside gameplay. it seems like it’s in good shape…but I know Otherside plot holders are excited to jump back in and see if holding all this time has been a mistake.
also, we should have known an Otherside announcement like this was coming though…as the Otherdeeds have been slowly trending up in the new year rising from ~1.3 ETH to almost 2 ETH as I write this.
while it remains to be seen what Kodas have been up to, the second trip will be *big* for those who are predicting a gaming meta for NFTs in 2023.
(as a former President of the USA once said though, “fool me once, shame on…shame on you. fool me twice…you can't get fooled again.”)
at the very least, it’ll get people talking again.
BETA ⚓️
Vitalik NFTs?
piggybacking off of Tuesday’s edition of the newsletter where I wrote that we are seemingly just getting *bored* again by NFTs, my suspicions were confirmed once more on Wednesday.
that’s when a collection called “Gitcoin Presents” minted an open edition with the name Vitalik attached to it (maybe you’ve heard of him).
that’s all it took. when the OE closed, the floor price rocketed from its 0.05 ETH mint price to as much as 0.6 ETH.
(it sits at 0.37 ETH price floor as I write this…not bad)
I predict that the Quadratic Funding NFTs (as the Gitcoin OE is called) will probably age better than Owls. there have been a few big hitters, including Machi and Franklin, who have put a lot of ETH into these.
but just because they’ll be around for a bit longer, doesn’t mean we’re any less bored.

right-click savers are still out there 😔
NFTs were *kinda* back in the news yesterday…as Joe Rogan says he can right-click, save and own them.
while sitting down with Coffeezilla, Rogan delivered yet another sucker punch to the NFT community. why kick us when we are down, Joe?
the outside perception of NFTs is clearly in bad shape…as people who believe in Bigfoot, UFOs, and ghosts *still* can’t see a reason to own an NFT.
we are down bad…but not out quite yet.
DELTA ⚓️
the legend takes a break
I am always shocked to hear that people are making money from this space.
so while it’s disappointing to hear that ZachXBT…the prolific on-chain detective…will stop taking on any community requests for investigation, I totally get it.
this may come as a surprise to you, but I have unknowingly been working as a volunteer in the NFT space too. the newsletter provides you with NFT news…but does not provide me with much else.
I was fine with it before (because my job provided the income I needed to keep pursuing my passion for writing about NFTs and managing a newsletter), but now that I’ve been laid off, I’m looking around and realizing that maybe I should have tried *monetizing* sooner.
that being said, don’t worry. this will remain a free newsletter and I will continue to put out the newsletter Tuesdays and Thursdays for everyone…but recently I’ve found my energy focused on other things.
more on that soon. see you Tuesday.
