⚓️ doodles turn 1
gm.
for the longest time, the BivNFT newsletter has provided the NFT news of the day by being divided into 3 parts: ALPHA, BETA, and (erroneously) DELTA.
well today, that changes!
ALPHA ⚓️
Happy 1-Year Anniversary to Doodles!
today is Doodles’ 1-year anniversary. since *before* they even minted, they’ve been one of the most influential (if not polarizing) projects in the space.
first, they revolutionized the “allow list” by getting popular influencers on board first to help build hype.
from there it was Space Doodles…one of the first times I heard about “wrapped” NFTs.
then, they followed it up by putting on some of the most innovative IRL NFT events we’ve seen at NFT NYC and SXSW in Austin.
now, they have a big time CEO and are ready to move chains to launch Doodles 2.
in a year’s time, they’ve probably rocketed past by your favorite project in terms of floor price and have certainly given you FOMO more than a few times too. congrats to the team and all their holders!
(Doodles have constantly outrun me in terms of price, but full disclosure, I would still love to have one someday)
BETA ⚓️
a founder “dies” during mint
it’s funny because it’s *not* true.
for those of us that have been in the NFT space for a while, we know how the beats of a “rug” go by this point.
sometimes, it’s instant…the discord and socials disappear after sell out. sometimes, it’s slower…the communications drop off until one day, the founders are gone and the project is dead.
speaking of dead…what if I told you that a mint actually *killed* a founder this weekend?
*dun dun dun*
no not really. it was actually just a very lazy rug attempt brought to my attention by NFT Twitter. in order to “rug” the project, the team concocted this story in order to sell the contract and move on with the money they already made.
the founder who died eventually came back to life, collected his royalties, and died again.
at least we all can still have a laugh about people losing money to scams. maybe those 2021 vibes are coming back after all…

me 🤝 Steve Aoki
buying tops
Steve Aoki isn’t just a DJ…he’s also a D-Gen. over the past year, he’s been one of the biggest supporters of NFTs and now I see why. apparently, he’s made more from NFTs than *all* his music royalties. pretty crazy to think that his CryptoDickButts sales are worth more than “Warp” royalties *woop woop*.
DELTA ⚓️
Deadfellaz x Wrangler
why do these snap? this collab didn’t have to go this hard…but it did anyway. it begs the question: are Wrangler jeans cool now?
