a reminder that when you’re flipping NFTs, you want to be swept up…not be buying after a sweep.
subscribe (or maybe upgrade? I dunno I’m trying here) for more BivNFT tips.
(just note I’ve never *actually* made a successful flip in my entire life)

Moonbirds signs with UTA
we’ve had a slew of projects sign with talent agencies, and so far? it’s produced nothing of substance.
(add this to a long list of predictions I was dead wrong about)
initially, Hollywood and NFTs seemed like a natural fit because of the “disruption” factor…the infraction point, if you will.
(Glass Onion fans stand up!)
NFTs can be used to create, establish, and most importantly market-test IP *before* it’s brought to the big screens. whereas now…you create an entire movie and hope the characters pop or you simply just use *existing* IP as Disney does.
instead, CAA and UTA have just been used to get your favorite founders into better parties. the newest attendee to that *exclusive* party? Proof…the creators of Moonbirds.
I honestly ask…what IP does Moonbirds have that will translate well to music and TV?
sure some of the birds are “angry” and we (meaning NFT enthusiasts) would recognize them…but do we expect kids and adults to look at a pixelated owl (or even funnier to imagine…a Moonbird Oddity) and think to themselves, “that’s kickass”.
perhaps Moonbirds Mythics will be more visually appealing and have some actually interesting creative choices; the early mocks were definitely promising.
but for now, I’m just getting annoyed. “can the talent agents do something!!!”

feetpix frenzy
it brings me no pleasure to write about the newest NFT craze:
feetpix.
(thou protest too much, Biv)
unfortunately, a pixelated art project of *feet* caught the attention of every degen this week. for those unaware, it’s funny to joke about selling your feet pics online. so some genius (I’m serious) made them an NFT.
the feetpix hit a >.1 ETH floor (much to Pooping Ladies’ chagrin) and had everyone talking for a few days. and 800 ETH in sales later, I have been left with no choice but to write about it.
it’s yet another chapter in projects that are ‘of the moment’ or rooted in online ‘culture’. you may remember ‘bagners’ from last year, for example.
while they may be all the rage right now, I can guarantee they’ll have no staying power past 2 months and maybe even 2 weeks. those feet will just fade to the depths of your hidden folder like so many cash grabs before.

Game of Thrones NFTs
speaking of a culture in decline…I hope you have not seen the cursed Game of Thrones NFTs (oops, I posted one above).
revealed yesterday, they were immediately laughed off the face of Westeros. and that’s because it was worse than Cockpunch and debatably even worse than our lord and savior Kevin.
(at least that mfer had some style)

while it’s certainly not something I would do…people like seedphrase have the advantage of being “market setters”. just the pure energy of his tweet announcing he was buying 3 Wolf Game plots in exchange for a CryptoPunk is enough to make sure it’s *not* a complete catastrophe.
that’s because a lot of people see the tweet…and immediately go buy Wolf Game tokens. “no research needed…seedphrase likes it! and I trust him!”
and while it’s good PR for Wolf Game, be careful what information you take in. we have no idea what went on behind the scenes here. is it conviction? or is it collusion? who knows.
we also had someone apparently trade a Fidenza for Mutant Hound Mega Collar:
🆗
if it sounds weird, it’s probably because it *is* weird. I’m realizing (admittedly way too late) that I know *nothing* of what goes on behind the scenes in this space…and that scares me.
remember that the house always wins…and not only that, we’re playing against a stacked deck.
see you Tuesday.
