⚓️ marketplace updates update
gm.
the offers were pouring in. the latest news that Nike was partnering with Cool Cats had the market positively frothy.
accept one offer. counter another. ‘congrats your item sold’ email. accept another offer. just a casual 32 ETH in one morning’s work. that would be enough for me to buy another validator! life was good.
“it’s a good idea to list your NFTs. I don’t know if you know this, but they can’t sell if you don’t list them!” I tweeted to my 100K Twitter followers.
then I woke up.
my attempt at some fiction for you today. this is why I stick to reporting the news.
ALPHA ⚓️
wake up, babe. a new OpenSea update just dropped.
and it’s got everything *Stefon voice*…
creator fee/royalties - though it’s a pretty tiny text up there at the top of the collection listing it is *shown* now.
% listed - this stat doesn’t mean much (considering that if it’s in your hidden folder, you may never list it), but it’s helpful nonetheless.
% unique owners - for all of those that were too lazy to divide two numbers together, OpenSea now does the work for you by showing the *percentage* of unique holders instead of the *number* of them.
this *new* transparency will help keep buyers in the know, but more importantly, will highlight other stats that are *not* floor price. this will help you better evaluate the health of a project at a glance…regardless of how much it costs.
I can’t believe OpenSea would do such a thing.
BETA ⚓️
the future is multichain (obviously). yet even still, it doesn’t *feel* that way. we’re all still siloed off in our own worlds…keeping our cute little JPGs to ourselves and the chain they live on.
however, MagicEden is doing their best to break down those barriers and bring us closer to a cross-chain reality.
staying with the marketplace news, they announced today that you’ll be able to buy Solana NFTs with Ethereum and ETH NFTs with SOL in a new update.
and in classic MagicEden fashion, they are nailing the marketing (damn, do they know their audience). the first NFTs featured for their new feature are…Pudgy Penguins and Sappy Seals.
bridging the gap will be much easier with all the memes from those two communities. there may be peace in our time to chain wars after all.
DELTA ⚓️
Arbitrum NFTs are on the list of NFTs I want to explore (along with Cardano). luckily, OpenSea will make that easier for us by supporting Arbitrum starting tomorrow. I’m coming for you Smol Brains.
my memes will now be unstoppable. shout out to @neicras on Twitter for creating a tool that will allow you to isolate your Cool Cats head as a PNG. and don’t worry, his tool is not as violent as it sounds (it’s close to spooky szn people!)
