⚓️ Mecha Apes? you wish!
gm.
when I was a kid, I thought it would be so cool to have a job where you got to *travel* and *stay in hotels*.
now that I’m older (and currently traveling and staying in a hotel), I can confirm this is not the way.
I’d much rather be at home, trading NFTs and writing about them from my computer (and not an iPad).

MoMA (the Museum of Modern Art) has announced that it’ll be selling over $70 million worth of *physical* art to buy more digital ones.
this is obviously big news for NFTs, which are essentially the best way to verify digital art (at this point). we’ve been telling you the future of art was on the blockchain, and now it seems like people are starting to listen.
but it makes a lot of sense. how can you be modern, if you don’t feature art that was made with the help of computers…and better yet, verified on the blockchain?
NFTs have given a way for society to prove the art’s validity, but it’s also given a way for society to value the art in new and exciting ways. for one, the art might not be priced in dollars anymore; it’ll be a collection valued in Ethereum maybe!
while you won’t have to go to the MoMA to appreciate the digital art, it’s good to know that it’ll be there so that *everyone* can admire it despite their internet connection and knowledge of the blockchain.
a big step forward for us.
BETA ⚓️
what if Yuga released another collection of Apes? how much panic and fervor would that cause?
it was almost a reality this morning as a few sources were tweeting a rumor regarding exactly that. apparently, Mecha Apes were going to be a new collection that would raise funds for Yuga and the Otherside game. however, it was quickly debunked by Garga himself.
however, I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: with Yuga, where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.
they haven’t exactly been the most tightlipped of companies when it comes to big announcements (see CryptoPunks acquisition). not to mention the fact that this is on their roadmap and has been a long-rumored extension of the Bored Ape Kennel Club (good boys who have been patiently waiting to be used).
plus, though raising money is all the rage right now, Yuga could easily do that without launching another collection and diluting their own projects. perhaps the Mechas will merely be in the Otherside and who we’ll be fighting and gathering resources to beat over there?
time will tell. but for now, no Mecha Apes.

speaking of “time will tell”, the merge was a success! though was it really? let's at least bask in the glory that is PoS Ethereum, Vitalik and the bulge…I mean merge.
shout out today to @cooltimes. he’s been over on YouTube pumping out amazing NFT content over there. it’s important to remember that there are multiple channels to keep track of and engage with. whether it be Discord, YouTube, and even TikTok, you never know where you will find your tribe…or maybe even your own audience 👀
