⚓️ pursue your grail

keep your eye on the prize (the grails)
what needs to be restated today is that digital collectibles can’t be ignored as a future asset class. we’re seeing why again with these Reddit avatars.
but don’t get distracted by the shiny, new objects. instead simply remember that CryptoPunks are still the most uniquely positioned NFT (or digital collectible, if you must) to stand the test of time. why?
collectibles that are scarce are more valuable
collectibles that are historic will have more value
people are always willing to pay more for collectibles that have sentimental value to them
while there are certainly *older* NFTs and more *scarce* NFTs out there, the last point (#3) is the reason why CryptoPunks are the safest bet still.
that’s because, to many of us, they will always be the “grail” NFT. as NFT early adopters like ourselves get older, we will surely start clinging to the glory days more.
(you already see this when people talk about the summer of 2021)
and when we try to harken back to the good ol’ days…we’ll want to buy a CryptoPunk because of that nostalgia.
Cool Cats experiences big layoffs
unfortunately, many creative and talented people were (unceremoniously) let go by the Cool Cats team in the last 24 hours.
the new CEO has seemingly brought with him a new regime…one that changes the structure of Cool Cats as well. the team seems to be scaling back (in particular, the gaming division which seems to have been hit the hardest by the layoffs).
whether it be the fear of an impending recession, pullbacks in the crypto market, or the declining demand and secondary sales of NFTs in general, I do expect things to get tight around here in the coming months.
not just for Cool Cats, but all NFT teams.
the master of hype building
you gotta give it to Frank…he may not know how to *create* a good NFT project, but he certainly knows how to hype one up and string us along.
it has become a master class. Frank teases *something* and somehow still gets us hyped for y00ts.

to further incentivize you to reply to my emails, I will give you a free sticker if you are comfortable sharing your IRL home address.
the sticker is just my Cool Cat for now, but I hope to have some more BivNFT stickers in the near future 👀
