Starbucks may be the first *big* company to fully commit to NFTs, huh?
they’ve been teasing their Web3 rewards app for months now, and I’ve already written about why it might be a game-changer.
now, it appears to be on the 1-yard line as they disclosed *more* details yesterday (just hope they don’t fumble it like the Broncos did last night).
called Odyssey, it is oddly *not* a Web3 game or Starbucks’ answer to the Otherside…even though it sounds like it.
instead, it appears that Odyssey will be more of an NFT passport. buying coffee, playing mini-games, and completing quizzes will earn you “journey stamps” that can be sold and exchanged in the app.
it’s an standalone version of their rewards program…but on the Polygon blockchain. this is what the future of NFTs *might* look like.
I’m on the waitlist so I can flex soon and prove to my wife that NFTs aren’t *totally* useless. “see babe? free coffee!”

it’s happened. Doodles have tweeted again (for those keeping score at home, it was 51 days in between tweets).
the team may have been dealing with some personal issues or simply decided to not focus on socials as they build Doodles 2.
either way, they are back and (re)announced a round of funding they took from Alexis Ohanian (yes, the same investor who fell for a fake tweet about Doodles) and also announced they’ll be hiring various positions…including (hilariously) a social media manager.
the team will go from 11 to 30. I, for one, am shocked to hear the team has been this small, considering the mountain of cash they have from their product sales alone (Genesis Boxes and royalties)….not to mention that they *also* have VC funding.
however, much like Apple, maybe stockpiling cash is the thing to do…especially right now in this market.
now that Doodles have tweeted though, we can go back to our regularly scheduled programming of FUD’ing *every other* project out there. watch out Cool Cats…it’s your time again.

Nate Rivers (a Solana influencer) is joining the Okay Bears team. Solana wars are heating up…and I imagine we see Bears vs deGods become the newest rivalry we’ll have to keep tabs on. or maybe they’re more collaborative and less competitive over on Solana. I honestly have no idea and resent the fact that I have to keep tabs on a whole other chain now.
