gm.
today begins December. and that means it's time to start planning those New Year’s resolutions and goals for 2023.
do you want to actually make money from NFTs this year? sorry, no can do…but you can come up with some more *attainable* goals that revolve around your NFT journey.
maybe you can be a community manager. maybe you can start a project. maybe you just mint something, anything. keep dreaming big (so long as it’s not big profits).
NFTs are still full of potential.

Uniswap Airdrop

is the *new* airdrop szn finally here?
we’ve been begging for someone…anyone…to save us from the depths of this bear market.
on Wednesday morning, our prayers were answered (slightly).
users of Genie, an aggregator and “sweeper” tool, were blessed with an airdrop of 300 USDC…as Uniswap NFTs launched. if you recall (I personally didn’t), Uniswap acquired Genie in June of 2022.
Genie has now been completely rebranded to Uniswap NFTs, and you can access it within the Uniswap app.
the airdrop will be claimable for 12 months for those who met the requirements which were *pretty* low. all that you had have was (1) Genie transaction before April 2022.
if you meet that requirement (I personally didn’t again), you’ll have a claim button in the app when you click into your account…see below.
now, we wait for the Metamask airdrop and maybe we’ll be able to claw our way out of this after all…

Frank Dox
I’m following up on Tuesday’s news that Frank of DeGods and y00ts fame had some life-changing news for us…
that news? we finally know what his face looks like.
I’m not sure how this changed the Solana ecosystem forever, but it did encourage a lot of others to self-dox themselves as well. the hashtag #doxxwithfrank even started trending.
I wrote about it when Betty from Deadfellaz “revealed” herself at VeeCon, but doxing can be a powerful marketing tool that adds trust to a particular community.
and it’s the perfect time for Frank to do this…while Solana’s price is floundering, its NFT ecosystem is thriving still and Frank leads that charge. I imagine this will only add value to his holders and cement themselves atop the Solana NFT ecosystem.
(however, it can’t be ruled out that Frank doxed simply so he didn’t have to wear a facemask in humid Miami this week at Art Basel)

Expiring Domains

I rarely share “alpha” in this newsletter because….well, I’m really bad at profiting and making “calls” with NFTs.
however, I feel it’s time I share a tool I’ve been using for a few months now…a Twitter account that revolves around expiring ENS domain names (see above).
since ENS has faded a bit from the degen consciousness, a lot of quality domains have been dropped due to laziness, cost, or people simply abandoning all things crypto.
but even though I don’t know how to read charts, I do think I have a pretty good eye for domain names that are brandable and can be built upon.
I dunno. maybe I’m way off here, but here are 5 expiring ENS domains with under $200 premiums (and some that are close to expiring completely that will cost you around $20) that I think are pretty good. and with gas being as low as it is, now is a pretty good time to act.
snag them before someone else does.

New Yorker Write-up on WoW

remember World of Women? one of NFTs biggest success stories from the past year has hit hard times…so it was nice to hear from Yam Karkai in a big write-up in the New Yorker this week.
as a big Cool Cats supporter (another once *big* project that has decreased drastically in popularity), it’s nice to hear that a lot of these founders still have big plans in store for their brands.
it’s also nice to see some mainstream exposure to NFT projects that *aren’t* grifts or scams. good publicity for once…progress!
and if you can sift through all the NFT basics that are in this piece, you might come away a little more bullish on *already* legacy projects like World of Women.
