I had a busy Labor Day weekend.
Labor Day, for those not in the States, recognizes laborers and is supposed to be a holiday that gives them a day of rest (I, for one, did not do that). more importantly, though, it symbolically marks the end of summer.
how are NFTs doing now that summer is officially *over*? let’s catch up together…

a lot of people waited around on the holiday weekend only to be disappointed. no…they didn’t get snubbed from the family BBQ, but instead got stood up by y00t.
for those unaware, getting on the “y00tlist” was all the rage in August…and y00t quickly became the most anticipated project of the summer. the death of “Solana Summer” was greatly exaggerated as it turns out.
the mint date was scheduled for September 4th, but just minutes before the mint…it got delayed. apparently, a bug was found that could have left the mint vulnerable to bots.
to stay safe, they pushed it, but it killed a little bit of the momentum and left some pretty mad that they had cleared their schedule for this.
eventually, everyone was able to mint their t00b (which can be burned for a y00t) around 24 hours later…just what they had quoted the delay would be. and currently, the price floor sits at 150 SOL…so it’s doing fine regardless of the hiccup.
let’s just not do this during my holiday weekend next time, okay Frank? also, next time put me on teh y00tlist too, okay Frank?

Doodles have been catching a lot of flack lately.
their main Twitter account hasn’t tweeted in over two months. Dooplicators were supposed to go live in “summer 2022”, yet we are quickly running out of days for them to keep that timeline (my wife and I FWIW have already started ordering pumpkin spice drinks and buying Halloween decorations). and we *still* have no updates.
so when one of the Doodles *investors* tweets that a mint is finally happening, we get excited. when that mint isn’t actually happening though? we most definitely do *not* get excited.
Alexis Ohanian is *one of us* as he fell for a scam on Thursday. he quote tweeted a fake Doodles tweet that linked to a scam mint of Doodles 2. to be fair, he was a bit distracted being a supportive husband at that moment.
but it’s not a good look as he seems to be just as out of the loop as the rest of us when it comes to Doodles and their next move. everyone is waiting for Doodles, but they seem reticent to communicate *anything* to us right now.
I don’t know if that’s comforting or terrifying.

doing their best to keep us in the loop with timelines, Yuga Labs gave us another tease for the Otherside and when we can expect to find out WTF a Koda is and what the resources do. it seems like maybe by the holiday szn of 2022, we’ll have *some* answers. Kodas for Christmas, anyone?
speaking of Yuga Labs, the founders went on “How I Built This” with Guy Raz. not that a podcast already this *big* needs another plug…but I’m doing it anyway. HIBT was one of my first loves…a way for aspiring entrepreneurs to get a founder’s recollection of what their life was like *before* they hit it big.
