BendDAO auction
BendDAO had an auction for some Bored Apes this past weekend.
using leverage is scary stuff, and I’m too risk-averse ever to do it. but when you’re a high roller in the NFT space…sometimes, you make gambles that don’t pay off…and you have to be ready to get burned.
that’s what happened here as over a dozen Apes went up for sale after their *former* owners took out a loan against them…and then found themselves unable to pay them back in the allotted time period.
who knows how the former owners of these Apes are doing now, but they’re certainly not helping the Bored Ape price floor at all. adding this supply to an already slipping floor has hurt the entire market *just a little bit more*.
over the last few weeks, we’ve seen precipitous slides in Otherside price floors and other Yuga collections. and whether we like it or not…this affects the rest of our collections too.
so goes Yuga…so goes the market.

Art Gobblers drama
over the past few days, copypasta has had the NFT Twitter world outraged.
why? Nate Alex (known for his expensive Beanz and CryptoKitties) posted a corny tweet over the weekend about the upcoming project “Art Gobblers”. it was then reposted (for some reason) as “copypasta” by other influencers in the space.
however, to some, the copypasta tactic seemed suspicious. it was read (maybe rightly so) as a coordinated influencer marketing attempt…one that used large followings to bring attention to a project that might have gone otherwise largely unnoticed.
I say that because Art Gobblers has been in the works for quite a while but didn’t *really* catch on as an anticipated mint until a few days ago.
today many are banging their heads against the wall realizing they could have been on the allow list and had a free 10 ETH (the current floor price on an unrevealed Art Gobbler).
also…has copypasta (or posting images of text messages) *ever* been funny? I’m confused what copypasta accomplishes at this point…other than confusing people.
