gm. who will be the first reality show contestant that does NFTs full time?
I was wondering this after watching an episode of the Bachelorette where one person’s profession was simply described as ‘crypto guy’.
personally, I’m rooting for an all-NFT dating show akin to “Love Is Blind” where you only get to see someone’s wallet before having to decide whether to marry them or not.

I wrote about the Coolman’s Universe show that was announced last week, so not to be outdone, Time rolled out a little more info on the new ‘Robotos’ show.
and turns out…it’s not really a Robotos show at all. instead, Pablo Stanley (the creator of Robotos) will be encompassing the Robotos *along* with his other creations into a single show called ‘Robyn’.
it’s a creative approach to NFT world-building. the show will essentially showcase the different NFT projects (Robotos, humankind, and RoboPets) hoping that “a rising tide lifts all boats” and brings each collection to prominence.
of course, the execution of the show is paramount. I like the initial design (and there does seem to be cohesion between all Robyn’s side characters) but it’ll need to be a homerun…otherwise, all of the projects may suffer in the process.
that means it’s once again time to shoot my shot! Pablo, Robotos, or Time, if you are reading this…let me write for the show!
BETA ⚓️
Gamestop NFT marketplace launched yesterday…and it wasn’t a complete disaster?
after 24 hours, it had $1 million in sales. not bad at all considering how disastrous the rollout was for Coinbase NFT.
(FWIW it’s not good when a meme stock is outperforming one of the biggest crypto companies on the planet. at this point, I think it’s safe to say that Coinbase NFT was one of the biggest disasters in NFT’s short history.)
something called MetaBoy was the top performer on Gamestop’s first day. and I gotta say…despite never having heard about the project, they do look kinda cool. it’s animated Gameboys, that are running around a side-scrolling background. it’s all very Gamestop and maybe this marketplace won’t be a dud after all.
not to be outdone, LimeWire dropped a teaser for their NFT marketplace too. featuring Soulja Boy, the ad is trying to tap into the nostalgia of the early aughts when you apparently ran home from school to download songs off LimeWire.
now, you apparently get off work and run home to buy NFTs.
this, as we know, is incorrect…you buy NFTs *at* work.

another day, another million-dollar NFT sale! this time it’s a CryptoPunk. at 2500 ETH, it’s the 5th largest sale ever for CryptoPunks (in terms of ETH), but somehow doesn’t crack the top 10 when you convert that amount to dollars. we are down horrendously bad.
nike.eth, starbucks.eth, and coke.eth all sold yesterday for 60, 50 and 40 ETH respectively. while these are speculators, we know that with NFTs, where there’s smoke, there’s typically fire. I wouldn’t be surprised if this means that some big-name companies are poking around right now just to see what their ENS domains would cost.
apparently, Serena Williams bought her CloneX 4 months ago, but only tweeted about it now. I wrote about it yesterday, not knowing this. my bad.
