I was just hacked, stay tuned for details - please avoid buying any squiggles until we get them flagged (just lost 25) + a few other NFTs (an autoglyph) ...

my stomach drops every time I hear about someone getting their wallet compromised and they lose *thousands* of dollars in NFTs…much like what happened with NFT God last week.

(good news there at least…his Mutant has been returned to him).

however, on Wednesday afternoon, Kevin Rose…founder of Proof and Moonbirds…had *millions* of dollars lifted from his wallet in a hack…which consequently made me stare into the void for a few minutes.

among the tokens that are gone is an Autoglyph (~350 ETH value) and 25 Squiggles (~325 ETH in value)…which alone gets the hacker to a cool milli.

saved luckily was KRO’s Zombie CryptoPunk (1000 ETH value).

I won’t be diving into the obvious questions like “how did this happen?” and “why was he signing in a wallet with that much value anyway?”.

I will however be calling attention to *your* wallet and security. what are you doing right now to hedge against hacks like this?

this is one is an extreme case, but at the end of the day…we’ve heard stories like this before. hackers aren’t going to stop coming for your wallets. and rest assured that if it can happen to someone as prominent as Kevin Rose…it can certainly happen to you too.

the worst-kept secret in NFTs was made official yesterday…Doodles 2 will be on the Flow blockchain.

why was it obvious? just go look at Jordan Castro aka Poopie’s background on Linkedin to see why they chose Flow over others...

but despite the connections Doodles has over at Flow, the partnership makes a lot of sense. Flow’s relationship with Instagram gives hope that Doodles 2 can bring NFTs into the mainstream.

(at the very least, hopefully, it makes it so Twitter isn’t the *only* social media app that likes NFTs)

however, people are skeptical of Flow for unrelated (but valid) reasons. in the minds of many, Flow will forever be the chain associated with NBA Top Shot and CryptoKitties…two products that oversaturated the market and eventually died in popularity.

Doodles have remained committed that the supply count for Doodles 2 will be limited to 33.3k maximum. and that’s promising. but the scars from getting burned by Flow products are still there for a lot of NFT Twitter.

whatever happens…I’m just excited because I’ll finally be able to open my Genesis Box. the bad news? I still have no idea how it will work and now it’s a Flow NFT…

in more chain news…Lil Pudgys are on the move too (kinda).

Pudgy Penguins announced yesterday that the smaller Pengu companions can be bridged to other chains…specifically Arbitrum, Polygon, and BNB.

why would you want to do this? I honestly have no idea…

I suppose the Lil Pudgys moving all around *could* offer a way to teach people about bridging to other chains. but more likely, I just assume that Pudgy Penguins got fat checks from *each* of these chains for marketing purposes.

either way, in classic NFT fashion this “news” has sent Lil Pudgys floor price up ~6% yesterday…and up 17% on the week.

the Pengus continue to dominate 2023.

some personal news: I am finally over sartoshi.

the news dropped on the official account Tuesday that ‘end of sartoshi’ open-edition holders will be able to claim art starting in February.

and what do you know? there’s a *new* profile picture project he’s launching (this time it’s pixel art though).

haven’t we done this before?

I’ll give him credit…sartoshi was once again ahead of the curve. this time around, he predicted the open-edition meta and realized there’s a lot of money to be made in editioned work from well-known artists…just look at 6529’s Memes.

but let’s not forget…he left when we needed him most and has now returned conveniently when there’s money to be made again.

even if he is *still* funny (I wouldn’t know…Twitter doesn’t put him in my feed anymore), he’ll no longer be able to manipulate *me* to be exit liquidity with his jokes.

I mean…I’m pretty sure.
