⚓️ new Cool Cats CEO
no more fan fiction. today, I’ll be reporting the *real* Cool Cats news (along with some other things) instead of the Cool Cats news of my dreams.
that being said, I still want Cool Cats to partner with Skittles for some Blue Cat Candy one day. I’d also like a Cool Cats Scrub Daddy.
Cool Cats has been on a CEO search *checks watch* for a long time. Chris Hassett stepped down at the end of May this year.
well, the time has finally come, and the new CEO is…Stephen Teglas.
ever heard of him? (me neither). but coming from a Disney and Warner Bros background (with a particular emphasis on branding and IP), the fit works on paper.
bonus points, he has experience in Web3 too…though his time at RECUR has already become a talking point.
will this finally help the Cool Cats get back on track? it’s certainly been one of the most *unique* stories in Web3 so far. selfishly, I hope this hire works out well and marks the end of all the nonsense.
bounty programs have always fascinated me. and recently, nix.eth found a bug on OpenSea…and for his work, they rewarded him with $100K.
that’s a lot of fiat, folks.
in tandem with all the new updates from OpenSea over the last few weeks (new data on collections and OpenRarity), can we officially be bullish on OpenSea with this news that they’re taking their *security* seriously too?
I think I speak for all of us when I saw that with an airdrop, OpenSea will *definitely* have my vote in marketplace wars now.
I mentioned that Deadfellaz was partnering with the Chicago Bulls, and now we know exactly what that collaboration (and others) will look like. 23 artists in total are reimagining the Bulls logo and selling them for charity (on Coinbase NFT marketplace, go figure). go check them out; they’re all amazing.
I’ve been meaning to give some OGs a shout-out, so I’ll start with @OhhShiny. along with daily spaces, he’s been an awesome NFT resource for me since I got into NFTs over a year ago…always dropping knowledge like this.
