⚓️ BAYC sounds like 'base'
gm.
it’s day 1 of me operating a website.
so far so good…as the site appears to be up and running still. once I start making changes, that may not be the case, however.
I will need everyone’s feedback over the next few months as I learn how to upkeep it and make improvements.
go to ethgasnow.com and let me know what you think!
ALPHA ⚓️
what are NFTs if we don’t have a little fun from time to time?
the space has been severely lacking “fun” lately…as our portfolio values continue to tank. so it’s only right that we dust off a tried and true classic NFT debate:
how do you pronounce BAYC?
yes, everyone on Twitter last night was sharing their thoughts…including Bored Ape Yacht Club cofounder GordonGoner (see tweet above).
I won’t tell you where my allegiances lie in the debate (for fear that you’ll call me names), but it’s good to see everyone behaving like themselves on Twitter again.
(and by that, I mean fighting with each other over inane topics like this)
BETA ⚓️
remember when Mike Tyson was big into NFTs? I remember the day he bought a Cool Cat fondly (his Cool Cat also *rules*).
well apparently, he still likes them! so much so that his collection, Mike Tyson’s Iron Pigeons, is dropping almost 1 year later.
that’s not bad considering celebrities like Bill Murray buy NFTs one day, launch a collection the next, and then are never heard from again.
even kookier is that Mike Tyson’s collection will be a free mint…meaning he and his team have kept up with recent NFT trends.
are the celebrities getting better at exploiting us? or have they just started working with more competent Web3 teams?
I don’t know the answer and also don’t know if I should consider Iron Pigeons an improvement on the “celeb NFT” model or not.
I suppose we’ll have to watch the team’s movements next week after it mints out to find out.
DELTA ⚓️
as far as I can tell, Miami is still the crypto capital of the United States. and now with Yuga’s presence and $1 million donation to the city that will continue to be the case for the foreseeable future. (LA better step up your game!)
I’m starting to see more people start newsletters…which I absolutely encourage. there are plenty of words to go around about NFTs and I recommend you keep reading to find your *ideal* author that writes about them. my recommendation today is that you check out tylr.eth’s newsletter….at orangetuesday.xyz…for completely refreshing and thoughtful takes on Web3.
