⚓️ August NFT recap
gm.
August is ending and if you haven’t been reading my newsletter recently, that’s fine (just know that I’m watching you though).
for all you slackers out there, I’ve compiled a recap of the most newsworthy things that happened for the month of August 2022.
while it wasn’t the craziest month in NFTs, it definitely had some drama…
ALPHA - the big sales ⚓️
BETA - the big news ⚓️
Proof’s Moonbirds and Oddities are now public domain. though I’m still trying to figure out who is going to use the Oddities IP to create anything (respectfully, those vomit pellets are ugly).
Tiffany and Co. really charged 30 ETH for a mint of their NFT (called NFTiff), but to no one’s surprise, it sold out. to be fair, it did come with a sweet CryptoPunk pendant.
Zuckerberg teased the Horizon Worlds metaverse. NFT Twitter laughed. we all will suffer if Meta doesn’t get it together.
Bored Apes performed at the VMAs in (semi) spectacular fashion. Snoop Dogg and Eminem took to the Otherside for the first performance of its kind at an award show. unfortunately, it was watched live only by 35 people.
DELTA - the big trends ⚓️
the re-flippening and why PFPs still matter.
